Welcoming Trent To The Jason Gardiner Builders Team!

The team welcoming treat on building site

Last December, Jason Gardiner Builders welcomed Trent Knapp of Nelson College to our team as an apprentice.

Trent gained work experience with us through the school’s Gateway programme, which provides pupils with a hands on opportunity to gain practical industry knowledge and experience. Becoming part of the Gateway programme was important to us as a business, because we recognise how valuable practical industry experience is – particularly to those students who are interested in a trade-based career.

Trent impressed us with his work ethic, willingness to learn and natural ability. In addition to being a fantastic career opportunity for him, Trent has also quickly become a valued member of our team and we are rapt to have him on board.

Trent has also been awarded the Nelson Registered Master Builders’ apprentice scholarship, in which he will receive $575 per year for three years to spend on industry costs, tools or education.

If you are working with us, you’ll have the opportunity to meet Trent in the coming weeks (if you haven’t had the pleasure of meeting him already) – welcome aboard, Trent!
